Welcome to Minto Summer Skate

Minto Summer Skate is an International Summer Skating Championship and is one of Eastern Ontario's longest running competitions. It attracts top skaters from Ontario, Quebec and provinces and countries far and wide. It is sanctioned by skate Canada and the USFSA.

New this year - Solo Dance

Minto Summer Skate is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a Solo Dance Event at the competition this summer, August 1 - 4, 2013.  We are hoping to hold an event in every dance category and each event will consist of pattern dances appropriate to the event level.  This is an opportunity for individual skaters to show off their dance skills and ability to present to the music.  These dance events will be judged using CPC for Junior Bronze and above.  We are hoping to attract all skaters who love to dance!  Keep checking the Minto Skating Club website www.mintoskatingclub.com for the Minto Summer Skate announcement which should be posted in the near future.

Over four days, events are offered in:

• Free Skate events for Junior Bronze and Juvenile,
• Competitive Free Skate from Pre-Novice to Senior,
• Competitive Dance from Pre-Juvenile to Senior
• Pairs from Pre-Juvenile to Senior.

Minto Summer Skate is a great opportunity for skaters to compete at the highest level and to kick-off the start of a new competitive skating season.

For fans of figure skating, Minto Summer Skate is a chance to watch some fantastic skating from up-and-coming skaters as well as the more experienced skaters.
